Organisational Restructure & Change Management

Case Study

Change circle
The Asia-Pac arm of a global community based aid and development organisation sought to find more effective and sustainable means of operating. This involved identifying cost savings as well as ways of working that would allow them to better serve their community and reach their organisational goals.

Challenge

With a highly values-based organisation of staff committed to making a difference, engagement and considered decision making on any operating model change needed to be executed with the right level of care and transparency. Curve Group were engaged to provide the leadership team with change management and organisational design facilitation to effectively lead the transformation activities and consultation with staff.

Our Approach

As a member of the transformation leadership team, Curve Group provided the project structure and reporting framework for each business leader to manage their decision making and staff consultation. A structured and holistic approach to organisational design was provided and followed to engage staff and make decisions about operating model changes. This involved providing workshop design and facilitation support, leadership team project coaching, union consultation and strategy report writing.

Outcome

The organisation was able to reach its goals of identifying cost and efficiency savings through operating model changes. More importantly, it engaged staff in a manner that promoted contribution and transparency of decision making. Each member of the leadership team took ownership of the change process, with Curve Group acting as an advisor and coach. This meant that we were able to step away from the engagement, confident that our client colleagues had the approach, skills and knowledge needed to transition effectively.
